In the NBA, there are some records that will never be surpassed.
The player who set the record was obviously too excellent, the record is based on longevity and consistency, or there is just no way to beat it without bending or breaking the rules. Naturally, they are unbreakable for a variety of reasons.
In fact, many of the records that have been set are just mind-blowing because it is impossible to believe that they were even attainable in the past.

Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game
Our list’s first unbeatable record is Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point performance. On March 2, 1962, Chamberlain outscored the New York Knicks by an astounding 100 points in a single game. It is simply too impossible to score so many points in a single game, hence this record will never be surpassed. Given the increased possessions and decreased scoring opportunities in the modern NBA, it seems unlikely that any player will ever approach Chamberlain’s record.
Even though Kobe Bryant’s 81-point performance is the second-highest in NBA history, it is still more than 18 points short of Chamberlain’s record.
John Stockton’s career assists
The overall number of assists in John Stockton’s career is another unbeatable record. With 15,806 assists in total, Stockton concluded his career with over 2000 more than the runner-up (Jason Kidd). There is an extremely slim chance that any player will ever surpass Stockton’s record, much alone even come close. This is due to the fact that assists are a team stat and it is quite challenging for one player to accumulate that many assists over their career.
Los Angeles Lakers’ 33 consecutive wins
With 33 straight victories, the Los Angeles Lakers hold the NBA’s most unbroken record. No other team has come close to matching the Lakers’ record since they set it during the 1971–1972 season. No club will likely ever win 33 straight games, much less manage it during the regular season. This is due to the fact that league parity is simply too high and teams are simply too evenly matched. Some people think the squad will need to do exceptionally well the next season in order to make the playoffs.
It can be really challenging to win 33 games in a row, regardless of what someone does. Russell accomplished the amazing achievement of winning titles in each and every season that he played. It is highly doubtful that any other player in NBA history will ever be able to match Russell’s level of success. Russell had recently passed away at the age of 88, leaving his record standing.
The Golden State Warriors’ 73 regular-season wins
The Warriors’ 73 victories during the regular season in 2015–16 set an NBA record. Given how challenging it is to win that many games in a season, it is unlikely that this record will ever be broken. The Warriors were a fantastic team with one of the best rosters ever put together. Any team will probably never be able to replicate their level of success.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record
The total points scored in a career by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the final unbeatable record on our list. Despite the fact that Abdul-Jabbar concluded his career with 38,387 points, some may argue that this mark may soon be surpassed. LeBron James presently has 37,062 points, but given that time is not really on his side, some people think it would be surprising if he were to reach the 1,325 points necessary to tie Abdul-Jabbar.
Final Thoughts
These are just a few of the NBA’s most enduring records. There are a great many more, and it’s improbable that any of them will ever be broken. They are unique because of this.
